To end a student's turn, have a peer hit the paper button again to change their friend back to themselves ("Quick! Hurry! Push the button again to change Tommy back!") Pair it with a free buzzer app that you hit each time your student hits their button, for an added sound effect (They go crazy over this!). Press the button, flip it over to see you turned into, and act it out! The front is a gray and red button, similar to the button in the books, and the back tells your students what they turned into after pushing their button (ie "You turned into a frog" or "You turned into a dancer!"). In this download, you will get 21 button cards. If your students love the "Don't Push the Button" book series, they will LOVE this simple, free extension activity as a followup to reading the book in speech therapy or in your classroom, to work on following directions, motor imitation, or simply as a motor movement break!
